Greenfest 2017 (2 June 2018)

The Absecon Green Team has partnered with Galloway’s Green Team (Go Green Galloway) on this event since 2013. The fair includes local and regional vendors, for-profit and non-profit, involved in a green enterprise. See our Greenfest page for more details.

Absecon Green Day Cleanup & Paper Shredding Event (TBD)

The Absecon Green Team has participated in this event since 2013. We have fanned out across different portions of Absecon that are in need of litter removal (Absecon train station in 2015, Absecon ShopRite and grass lots along Route 30 in 2014, Upland Avenue in 2013, etc.). Those interested in participating should meet at City Hall at 9am. For more details, please write to us or check back here later.

 

ACUA’s 27th Annual Earth Day Festival (22 April 2018)

For over 20 years the ACUA has set aside a day in April to bring together communities and celebrate Earth. The Absecon Green Team has participated in this event since 2013 and will support this event in 2018 as well.

National Night Out (7 August 2018)

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. The Absecon Green Team has participated in this event since 2013 and will support this event in 2018 as well.

The Absecon Police Department will be hosting it’s annual National Night Out event on Tuesday August 8th, 2018. The event will take place at Pitney Park, on the corner of Pitney Road and Crestview Avenue in Absecon from 6pm to 9pm.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. It enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Bring the family and enjoy free food and drinks, demonstrations by the Atlantic County Emergency Response Team, Forrest Fire Service, helicopter fly-bys and landings, police K-9 demos and more!

Green Team 2nd Annual City Clean Up (18 November 2017)

On November 18th 2017 we teamed up with our compadres from Galloway to pick up litter in Absecon. The event was a screaming success. Stay tuned for information on this event in 2018.

Farmer’s Market 2018 (June, August, September 2018)

The inaugural year of our market was a great success – many thanks to all of our vendors, non-profits, musicians, and of course shoppers, that helped make our market such a success.
